I personally think the B2P system is better, Developer has less incentive to make a ingame store that sells items that may be considered P2W. ESO has a good system with B2P and Subscription to get free Store Coins and all DLC free, but you don't need to have the subscription. SWTOR has a F2P System that completely sucks in that you lose ability to use UI features unless you pay the subscription or buy the features in the store.
I'm a PvE person, although depending on the PvP system I will occasionally dabble.
I've played in Games where playing Solo and being in a guild still worked, it's the System and the Guild itself that determines that. You can look at ESO and see many people playing Solo but you do your trading within the guild, share using the Guild store and chat with guild mates even while your off on your own. Also you occasionally join with a guild mate to do the occasional Dungeon or Hard Quest line where help is needed.
Because of my limited play time and being involved in more than one game I more enjoy the PvE lifestyle, I do like to try a variety of builds Warrior, Rogue, Wizard, not so much Healer type though. I do group up when have time. I kind of enjoyed the Public Events that they have in Rifts and had in WAR.
Agree with many here, best games have no direct classes and let you build how you want. Our Pen & Paper game is a mish-mash of systems where you just build your character by developing whatever skills / abilities you want to learn.

I mainly prefer PvE, but occasionally get involved in PvP, the PvP system determines how much of it I get involved in. Being a Casual player due to time constraints is what mainly limits me.
