    • Skeletons

Let me start this post with a brief... idea? Question? Demand?

      Skeletons as a playable race.

This will improve the game in every possible way but I might need some help composing a complete list of all the pros. No need to bother with cons since there can't possibly be any.

Edit: I disappeared into the shadow realm for a while to do some skelebusiness. I'm going to list the current pros that have been posted in on this board below.

      • Will always be ready for spooktober
      • Insane boosts from calcium
      • Really effective when trying to play dead to avoid an awkward colleague.
      • No need to eat or drink
      • Animals do not see you as food (with exception of dogs that might wish to chew on you)
      • Great at dodging arrows (they literally fly through you)
      • Fishing bonus (use your rib cage to catch shrimps)
      • Immunity to blinding spells, they have no eyes
      • Immunity to brainwashing spells, they have no brains
      • Evolve into fossil race?
      • Weather and day/night time does not concern them
      • They can fit in small spaces
      • Small lodgings - coffin is enough.

Special thanks to: @Gothix , @Logan and @Dybuk for adding to the pros. @muker and @Target for bringing attention to a good alternative of playing as a lich.
Special NON thanks to: @Gibbx for trying to slay undead in this sacred post. @MeninoDeOuro and any other that try to add cons 😠

If you still want to add to the list then you are very welcome, know that I might not update this post for a while though. Thank you, please. Kungkaneru signing out.

@meninodeouro Ah yes, you might think that skeletons are fragile and weak and as such cannot wear heavy armor or weapons but there's nothing that a bit of calcium cannot fix. Sure there are some whom does not have the gift of good calcium or strong bones, but those are the ones that wander aimlessly throughout the dank and dark catacombs.

Also concerning the intelligence of a skeleton. The intelligence in a skeleton could come from whether a soul inhabits it or not. You see, a glow in their dark eyeholes may hint at signs of intelligence, maybe... possibly.

Also I do believe there is no need for sleep and as thus the reason for drinking coffee is removed, unless you like the taste... but nobody likes the taste of coffee.

I end my reply with this little comic I found whilst researching the benefits of calcium. 0_1546226695966_Calcium.jpg

@mazikar Sticks and stones wont be a problem if you have twice as many sticks and stones to throw back at the enemy. Also there could be the EXTREMELY rare case where there is a very emotionally unstable skeleton, in which case words could hurt. Who am I kidding? skeletons are heartless, myaah!

@bakygan2011 Liches are humans wanting to be skeletons, which is a good thing. They should definitely be allowed to call themselves skeletons, it's almost 2019 after all!

One day, maybe more races will start to understand the benefits of boneifying.

      • They can fit in small spaces
      • Small lodgings - coffin is enough.

      Cons:

      • Necromancers can possess them and order them around

      🙂

But what if the skeleton is the necromancer?

Then they can possess and order themselves around.

Which is either completely unremarkable basic ability or awe-inspiring daring feat, depending on whether you're a regular person or a depressed one.

I guess they would have no problem with self-control at least. A skeleton necromancer can truly live with no regrets!

@Kungkaneru Consume your calcium. You should make a guild where everyone will be lich. We can even have a council of calcium. 👍

I've actually made a guild but with that goal in mind but it seems like most people I'm gonna end up playing with wants to play on tartarus... Seems like my focus must change toward encouraging a demon skeleton race next.
I leave the task up to you fellow skelemaster.

@gibbx You'd have to capture the skeleton first to apply the cast, can you really capture something that has such rad moves?

@roccandil You make a good point. Then again, if you hit a human in the head with a club then their skull will probably crack too.

@thwunk But does it work the same when a skeleton is without the flesh and skin? >Insert skeleton think emoji<
