RE: PK punishment
@frost agree. we have so little information to assume stuff from, and as my mother said when you assume you make an a** out of you and me ( a lot of that going on

RE: PK punishment
@Frost Yeah thats a very good point although there needs to be a reason for getting these resources besides gear then

RE: What unusual weapon types would you like to see?
Honestly I love using fists to just beat something to a pulp sometimes. Maybe a spell or talent in trees where fists become hardened with stone from the enviroment increasing damage by X decreasing swing time by X and providing a knock back, or blood swing speed increase by X every third hit boils the blood from your current target doing AOE damage or something.

RE: The school of Restoration!?
Thats really nice to hear @Prometheus excited to see how some of the other schools heals may work. Loved back in DOTA (wow3 version) playing the healer that used her own life to heal but had high health regen. Having unique ways is always fun.

RE: PK punishment
It seems like most of those contributing are on the same as far as wanting to prevent griefing. So what are some solutions you think would keep you from griefing someone?
a few of my ideas:*increased burden being on a foreign planet preventing amount you can hold/take with you
*Certain items can not be looted from PK
*Invulnerability to item loss for X amount of time after being killed on home world- assuming demon land is ffa, old school anything goes

RE: PK punishment
@Phaethonas it appears to be more alignment based then faction based (evil can attack all, lawful not). it seems like beast get a solid home world advantage with increased attributes when on their home world.

RE: PK punishment
@Finland Taking it a few hours back now haha. I enjoy pvp. I remember the early days of vanilla wow where me and a few of the other faction would be lvling together through the same zones and a sort of rivalry built up where we would wpvp in these matched situations. I do enjoy ganking and I do enjoy PK but only when its meaningful and not toxic in nature.

RE: PK punishment
This has always been a problem in these types of games. I remember playing TERA when it came out and thoroughly enjoyed the open world pvp until it got to the point where higher lvl players would just camp and the game became unfun and i eventually just stopped playing because it got so bad.
As someone who also enjoys ganking and pvping people of my same power lvl though i find one of the biggest deterrents to that behavior is no reward. If you remove the reward for constant PKing it loses a lot of its thrill. Whether this is having a burdened status that prevents carrying equipment or looting, or each kill taxes you and decreases the time you can spend in another world. I hope they stay away from a system that penalizes the attacker with things like decreased health/damage as this causes some people to treat it like a challenge and encourages the behavior

RE: What about solo players?
I am interested to see how there solo player experience plays out. I love being apart of a social group but ultimately i prefer to spend 80-90% of my time solo, exploring, crafting, and engaging open world pvp. excited to see how there solo experience will hold up.

RE: What about progress?
Honestly im really looking forward to this game but if it's full loss on pvp i am not sure how i will feel about that come live. I am for balanced risk reward and loosing everything while very old school isnt necessarily fun to play

RE: Are you a PVP or PVE player?
i feel with pvp there are so many different type of players. Arena, BG, large battles. I personally find myself in the battleground group 5-40 players
