@benseine well yes but with an exchange rate more abhorrent than Venezuela's current economic situation it's not quite as convenient as it might seem, proven by the fact that there has never been so much as one whimper anywhere about it ever creating any measurable powergap, naturally that ties in to the games progression too, but that does not subtract from the former said.

Generally speaking VIP systems are a big no-no, what's starting off as 'minor convenience' can turn into a 'major convenience' before people even realize it, it's just one slippery slope. Keep cash-shops aesthetic-only, PoE and GW2 do it very successfully so there's no question it can be done right.

RE: Kickstarter Update - Pledge Packs
Yeah the pricepoints seem reasonable enough and have good cadence for what they offer. My only qualm would be the 'VIP'-type ordeal going on as i am not a fan of those systems in general with all the 'freemium' games going on right now, other that that I'll probably go for the Pioneer or Founder pack. Also side note, it'll be fun to see what big shots come forward for the 10K packs. Here's to success everyone!

I'll go for a hellfire demon warrior first and after that probably a beastman mage, see what i like playing more and stick with it.

Well in a broader sense race-specific crafting and/or recipes can work but there's a lot of effort there making sure everyone is happy, that being said asymmetry does games good imo, it even is a reason why this game caught eye with the three planet system, so discrepancies between races can lead to some good gameplay situations no doubt about that.

I'm not so sure parkour works in games with isometric perspectives though? At least haven't seen it implemented outside the occasional dodge-roll or dash system.

Well it might be doable but there'd have to be some smart systems in place to prevent the good guilds always hogging these so called 'relics'. That said actually having an objective for large scale PvP battles is definitely something desiarble, so the concept is solid.

Guild Wars 1 was a prime example of the things you can do through a horizontal progression system, already retro by todays standards but a good glimpse of the fun that can be had with creative build-tinkering.

Whatever the plan might be for GvG they really have to mind that sweetspot where there are enough players to make for interesting large scale battles but not so many players as to turn everything in an incoherent mess with no objective.

Everyone loves a good old classic arpg-esque dungeon, now the interesting thing here would be how they can be used in conjunction with the knowledge system. Super rare knowledge that can only be discovered in the depths of the most challenging dungeos? Yes please.

Unarmed? That's kinda interesting, i wonder how the parameters for that will be calculated. Also this is just wishful thinking but boy oh boy would it be nice to be able to dual wield twohanders through some sort of skill/passive.

Depends on the game, but over here i'll probably roll a max STR/CON build as first char. Dishing out and being able to take serious damage at the same time is fun, alternatively if i change my mind i might go a INT/CHA focused necromancer but that'll probably be an alt anyways.
