@dj35 might happen. i'm more concerned that I build a town, drop all my resources (and real money stuff if its Chronicles of Elyria style) and get kicked out. that would be... painfull. I would however be willing to try if the guild shows the things I want to see. (like my kingdom guild in CoE. 
) Not doing something because its scary makes life dull.

I had an crowfall account but I dropped it and sold it to anshen shan. The direction it developed wasn't pleasing to me so I got my $$$ back. Also the guild that I joined (serrated, SR8) was split up between EU and NA and we left to join Chronicles of Elyria. I then started a kingdom to find out that CoE has no clue about AI (or gameplay to show) they told me to not expect to get anything when I pledged on layway for 10K euro.

I do like group efforts, but I don't like the forced must do 4 people things. I don't know 4 people. I do certainly not have 12 friends or more. so I would need to join a guild/org/group/corp/clan etc.
since I am not competitive I am always uninteresting for the group.
the exception was eve-online a few years back. there I had a few months of utmost pleasure of running in a team with very good leadership. and as former military / veteran I know when leadership is worth (ingame) dying for. I certainly would have those times back. (even though I suck at pvp)
I also have to mention my short period in a german team in R.O.S.E Online (does that game still exist?). They where the best teammates ever. never giving up. kudos.
However, after all these years... I still do play all things with my buddy. (or solo, but it gets boring rather quickly). My buddy will ofcourse also join this game. He rarely wants to be in the lead. he just wants to play

well, planning of a town begins early. I need people to join up and make it happening.
And although there is not much fact at the moment (as the pre-alpha needs to start) there is no reason not to start designing a hierarchical structure. I am planning to build the most prestigious location one can imagine.
bustling with people, lots of valued members (pc and npc) and ofcourse a hefty defense as having the nice goodies makes you a target.
as for exitment, I plan to build on the PVE word, but that's not a hard coded thing. I might not be into PVP, but I have no propblems with a guild who prefers that, as a guild it is then important to me that they actually are capable of Pvp (duh). (so discuss, plan, scheme and talk. Yhis Governor is there and its all on the table.)
LOL... I should be more active. (difficult to keep yourself involved as there is not much fact to go on.)
I like the idea of how the Devs are working out the way it should work.
so far I am not planning a guild town or a free town. (I have no guild, so deciding that I am a guild run town… that would be.. weird.)
I am going with Alignment based (not race) so even the demons (like @Cinnao) who want to become angels can com to Poliponi. (I can change the name to Polyphony if that has a better sound to it. )
Way too early to tell how possible it will be is the vision I have for the town. First idea is that it would be like Italy - venice. during the carnival. (google carnival venice)
In the nearby future I will need a council of at least 3 (always an uneven number) of people who will aid me in designing the town. A good town cannot be run by one man alone. I will keep the final voice but I will follow the council. (to give you a hint of how I am as a leader watch this [

As it is important for me to immerse and play the role (rpg) i want to make a town and run it as my Bardic character. Therefore i wanted to use my Dungeons and Dragons hero 'Dordolio' (i made the hero sheet, but also like to work in character. )
Sir Dordolio 'Bard Extraordinaire' will run my town 'Poliponi' (based on Polyphony - a musical term) and i created a guild Tessitura (also a musical term)
Its all new for me and i need to catch up a lot. (an other name i could have used was Akimotos - the name i also use on the Kickstarter.)

(ooc: i pledged governor level, intention is to get it higher if possible after the kickstarter.
All the way up to Duke or even a Legend (Depending on whats possible and my situation at that point))

As for network lag and such i have no clue how much of a problem that will be. It depends on several facets.
there will always be a delay. (as there is a distance)
we may be able to find out how much trouble the lag gives when we go Alpha. As far as designing a town goes it will be no problem and i would like to see how it works out with the races and such in a town. (I still need to read a lot and i actually do not yet know if all races could work together in some way. (i expect they can, although some limitations might be.)
