poison strike error message wrong

When I try to use poisoning strike it tells me I cant use it with heavy armor, but Im not wearing any heavy. It could be that Im using a long bow (heavy) but thats not what the error message says.
Also I suspect that even though it says allowed weapons melee/ranged (light/medium), that light/medium was intended to be a restriction on just melee weapons not ranged. I could be wrong but thought Id mention it. Let the devs decide.
