Hi,
Can we invite people to party/guild/settler from afar? I only managed to invite nearby player.

Also:
Do we have to be a citizen of a town to build a home? I saw a lot of lands but i couldnt interact with pillar like previous alpha.

You don't need to be a citizien.
You just have to buy a plot in a region, and you will become a resident of that region, getting the techs developed by its city.

To get a plot, find one that isn't occupied (ropes around it), and while standing inside it you will get this icon:

Click on it to buy the plot (4k gold).
