Cant use quaterstaff and cast spells

I want to play a wizard type character but cant use a staff and cast spells ???? every game ever made your wizard could use a staff and cast spells. This Must be a bug.

@axan22 sorry to burst your bubble but it’s 100% not a bug. Only unarmed and one hand weapons are allowed for mages currently in this alpha test. Your title gives you your answer quarterstaffs never are for spell casters.

Thats a real shame hopefully we get some spell caster type weapons then such as wands scepters spell books etc.
