As far as time invested in crafting things, I don't think it will be a turnoff. Archeage had some pretty long craft times for certain things, and it worked fine within the game for players. (Monetization and P2W killed that game instead lol)

Welcome back! Depending on how this alpha test this month goes, I'll be upgrading to champion or eternal.

It's killing me waiting on an announcement for what day the next alpha goes live this month. I'm checking forums and news at least 3 to 4 times a day!

The idea sound nice, but I think it should be limited to beta keys, so as not to overtax the alpha server. Also, none of the tiers should have so many keys, especially over single digit amounts.
It's a good idea, but just needs to be scaled down some. -

@TrueCrimsonFTW except for "new" players they will most likely be in areas where they shouldn't be able to get ganked. At least, I'm fairly sure this is how they will have things set up. (Starter zones)

I'm wanting to say that because trading/selling goods across large distances will be the most productive way of making gold, that it may not make it worthwhile for a player to just slaughter monsters for hours to make money. I guess we will see soon enough.

With the turnover of gear upon deaths and crafters/gatherers in game, I'm very optimistic in the "barter economy" for this game. I like the idea of no gear being permanent, high hopes of it keeping a market thriving and providing a fairly stable demand for goods.
