Down the street and up sandstone steps...
You open the door in time to see her, crisp blue sleeves rolled up blood-stained arms and sharp implement in hand, poised over the shackled victim like a god about to deliver judgement to the unworthy. She plunges the prongs into their torso, sinking deep into soft flesh before it hits somethingâthe Core. Wrapped around the two metal points, it shines through the victimâs body like the sun, lighting up the room with an overwhelming sense of belonging and hope. You canât help breathing in deeply, but it seems like itâs at the victimâs expense--their eyes widen and roll to the back of their head; they thrash about, slamming against the shackles with such strength you drop into a fighting stance before the action even registers.
Still whistling, the woman twists the instrument as if she is just unlocking a door. The victim screams through the gag, and the temperature plummets. Light pulls back on itself, back to the Core, howling as it races past you. You feel familiar ghostly hands crawl up your skin and take a few steps back, pressing your back against the door. You donât understand how the woman is still standing there holding the tool, still whistling despite the Voices hissing and the Core shrieking. You can only watch, frozen, as she keeps an eye on the dying Core, her grip firm on the pulsing metal until the shadows return and the air falls into silence.
With a sharp yank, she pulls the prongs out of the remains of the corpse and holds it up to the single lightbulb. Her whistling comes to a sudden stop and she frowns and looks closely. âDamn,â she says. You start at the humanness in her voice. âThe alloy isnât conducive enough.â
HELLO EXCUSE ME WHILE I TAKE LIBERTIES WITH LORE YES? YES
Ahem. Hello again all, call me Somn, and call me a showoff. :3 I'm not actually an RPer, but I do have a love for telling stories

RE: Are you a PVP or PVE player?
I'm more of a PVE player because my PVP skills are comparable to that of a potato. That said, coming from AA (rip that game in general ;-;) I do really enjoy the idea of having open-world PVP available to create interesting player dynamics and relationships, cause I found it added this sort of tension that made being a merchant super fun, and personally would love to see that in this game in some form.
Then again, balance is a fine line to walk. Ping and OP gankers are always terrible, evil enemies and I'm not sure how that's going to be sorted, so we'll see how it goes I guess o:

RE: When is the Beta released?
@rapha Better waiting ages than a half-baked potato though!! But yeah, am excite too, I just hopped aboard the bandwagon and this game seems pretty cool. Community also seems really nice so far o:

RE: What's your playstyle?
Bursty DPS all the way! Especially with AOEs. I can't actually aim, so I like to compensate with redonkulous amounts of damage
