    • "Extra-planetary" travels? Interesting!

      Re-reading all of the website text, as obsessive MMO players do, it finally clicked that each "race" has a home planet (my first clue should have been the planets artwork πŸ˜‰ ... and then this little tidbit caught my eye today:

      "Stake your claim to free land in the open world, secure it from your enemies and start your own cultivation and livestock business. Your products will never be in low demand since access to food and water is essential for survival, especially when venturing into long extra-planetary travels."

      For some reason, until now, I didn't put 2 and 2 together! I take it this means that resources (and other things) harvested from one world could be in-demand (and transported) to another world via some mechanic or system?

      Maybe I'm reading too much into it... but I'm liking the way this is going πŸ™‚

      I really dig it! I think a "knowledge" approach is really smart way to progress things!

      I'm a little concerned about this paragraph, however:

      Here, you can re-assign your Talent Points as many times as you want during a Resting phase. Yes, that’s it: just sit down in front of a fire change all your Talents to match the stats and abilities of your Hero, just like you do before a match of your favorite MOBA!

      I'm a big fan of choices that have consequences, and feel like this might be antithetical to some of the other design principles you are going for.

      Maybe I'm not understanding enough, but how will this not effectively make everyone the same and promote a "meta" where there's only one proper choice for a given task?

      I'm so excited at the possibilities SpatialOS affords small studios to try new ideas... finally, creative and inspired developers can work on getting their ideas out rather than stuck in a pile of technical requirements all but impossible to overcome without a huge budget.

      Looking forward to what you do with Fractured!

      Really glad to know that travel will be meaningful (and by proxy, make the things you do meaningful!)

      It may have been talked about somewhere before, but how large is the world map, and what would be the expected travel time from one end to the other on foot? (Assuming nothing would stop you along the way, and not counting rest stops πŸ™‚

      My dream would be a world so large, that you may in fact not be able to get your goods to another location in the scope of one play session.

      Speaking of... do you have any plans for offline character actions (allowing is to try to travel long distances while offline?) If your character is interfered with, an app alert could push out to a mobile device, giving you an option to respond.
