That's what i'm thinking aswell, on the mmo i've been playing for the longest (Dofus) guilds can fight eachother, but it has no real meaningful impact, usually big stuff is reserved for alliances and AvAs. Guilds are somewhere from 10-200 people depending on the level of the guild, and that seems like a pretty interesting way of managing guild sizes, the more people you want to get in your guild, the higher level your guild must be, but being this game won't have a leveling system per se, it could use guild knowledge to level up or something like that

Choice of music for towns
Hey, so i've been thinking for a bit on towns and how distinct can the rule of a mayor be. So after release, or even at the final states of the beta, it would be cool to have a system in which the mayor can choose the town music from a pool of songs, so let's say we have 100 cities in total and around 50 city themes going from the gloomiest to the happiest, it would be a nice and noticeable sign of the direction the city is taking karmawise. You can maybe limit the songs for towns in Tartaros and Arboreus so people in those planets the city feel isn't off, but for people outside town politics who live away it can be a sign that politics exist and happen and for the people living in that town it can be a sign that their actions have some real meaningless but noticeable impact.
Anyways with the numbers that i just wrote as placeholders we could have some 34^50 + 33^40*2 possible combinations of music in the world, changing constantly, and in my eyes that seems real cool.
Thanks for reading and tell me what you think, maybe that many songs is unachiveable, or maybe bards who pledge alliance to a city can go around playing their backround music as an anthem.

RE: December 2019 Stress Test Review
I'm one of the guys who didn't get to enter at all, I haven't purchased anything at the moment since I am debating between beta 1 & 2 and wanted to try out the game to determine that, and as I've read the next open alpha will be open only to people who have already purchased the game, so I'm wondering if you will do a similar test on the Beta 2 phase but open for everyone. Thanks for the info and the good job, keep on working and you'll get far!
