Hi, I wanna purchase a founding package, but I am worried if I buy one it wont carry over to my steam account(which is how I would prefer to play once its available on there). So if I buy a founding package, will I be able to link that to my steam account so as not to lose it?

RE: Will we be able to obtain The Foundation rewards even after the release of the game?
Good question. I hope they will be and continue to offer new items for being active in the forum. It’ll be important for years and years after the game releases as further development is always needed.

RE: weapon and item restrictions
Gonna try asking this here, since there are no actual levels, what dictates what people can wear and weapons they can use? Besides race specific. It’ll be knowledge based or could someone throw on end game armor as soon as they make a new character?

RE: Current real* jobs/careers
@finland that’s the old Greek style right? The real badass one?

RE: Current real* jobs/careers
@finland cool man! I studied Ngo Cho Kun (5 ancestor fist) and a little tai chi. I want to get into boxing and muay thai. What does Hung Gar incorporate? type of fighting?

RE: What's your playstyle?
I personally love to tank. And the fact that this game has a good/evil karma. I’m excited to be an extremely benevolent tank at that hah. In ffxi I love the holy look for the paladins. I hope this game can have something that looks even better than that.

RE: Current real* jobs/careers
@finland that’s awesome! I was in karate most of my childhood. Studied at a kung fu school in my late teens. Been wanting to get back into it hah.

RE: Current real* jobs/careers
@fibs
Yes real jobs hah I edited it to add that. And that sounds cool man. Glad to hear you’re taking it seriously now. I don’t have one artistic bone in my body so always a bit envious of anyone who can draw more than stick figures haha. -
Current real* jobs/careers
What does everyone do for a living? How do you like it? Would you suggest the younger players to pursue that path?
My trade is a diesel mechanic on heavy duty trucks. I like it because I get to work on the whole truck and I’m not limited to working on the same thing day after day. There are always new problems to figure out. I don’t like how frustrating it can be at times. You won’t get rich but you’ll make a decent living. And it’s extremely expensive to get into. Have been doing it a little over a year and have spent 10k on tools.

RE: What unusual weapon types would you like to see?
Seeing a staff with good animation would be awesome.

RE: Humans fighting off demons!?
@finland I’ve put in a request with one guild, I’ll give them a chance, if it doesn’t work out, I’ll find ya

Humans fighting off demons!?
When the demon planet eclipses the human planet...humans set to fight off all the invading demons!! That sounds like an awesome time! I plan on being a good karma human so fighting off an invasion of demons with my fellow humans will be epic.

RE: In-depth pet/mount progression.
I do like an idea of raising a mount too. You can also have variants like trust and companionship. If you raise them right and take care of them they will never abandon you. Where as if you do a poor job raising them, they will run off if they think they’re gonna die.

RE: History behind your profil picture
Mine is good ol Vash the Stampede. Fun, easy going, and does his best to do right... and serves up justice in an amazing fashion.

RE: Lets Be Different!
I don’t have vast experience playing mmos. 5ish years of ffxi and a little bit of ffxiv various other short lived accounts. One thing I hope this game does it keep tight knit servers. My favorite thing about mmos are getting to know the same people. You see them running through random zones, just someone to wave to or poke while going about your business. Games that allow server jumping really disrupts this. Always new faces new names. New mmos seem to be getting away from creating a community that knows one another.
Ffxiv was ridiculous cause the random match up for a dungeon, you do the task then everyone leaves. It was really hard to get to know anyone.
Ffxi you made party’s and could be with the same 5 people for hours on end which sometimes sucked and even if you ended up hating someone, you gained a rival not just someone you’ll never see again. As a competitive person it helps me to get to know people I play with.
I guess that sort of system is something I’m hoping for.

RE: Nice
I think so to. Going to be a long wait now that I know it exists. Lol

Hey forum.
Long time ffxi player here who hasn’t played an mmorpg in nearly a decade. I saw an ad for this game and I took a second to read it and I believe it sparked something. Really looking forward to playing this game. Hopefully they keep Mac OS in the development.
