It’s very difficult to compare a game in Alpha to a game that has been on full release for 2 years. Both games are sandboxes, Albion is fairly compact map wise while Fractured looks a lot bigger with huge expanses to explore. Housing is mostly open world in Fractured with player cities, in Albion you get individual islands.

Gameplay wise the games are very different, with Albion favouring a linear progression with only combat skills available for change, where Fractures Knowledge system looks a lot more open allowing full customisation of your character whenever you like within reason n.

Tl:dr - Very different games, both good, both interesting.

@Dariusacmar this was exactly my experience as well. Vanilla WoW was hard for the average player but full of wonder. I will never forget seeing Ironforge for the first time. A lot of classes/specs just aren’t viable for end game raiding but that information wasn’t available at the time. It is now obviously so I expect all of the joy to be sucked out of the game and for me I would rather keep the great memories and nightmares I have for vanilla WoW as they are, a wonderous and sometimes challenging world best viewed through rose tinted spectacles.

Played 3 games of Forbidden Stars this weekend as a nice change to online games. Very enjoyable.
