unable to load in to server

unable to load in to server, I click play and it goes to connecting to server screen. After a few moments goes right back to the character screen. I've uninstalled re-installed, verified my files, restarted my system and checked my connection... nothing is working.. is the server down? i was unable to find anything.

There was a DDOS attack going on. It is resolved now.
