There's a few different opinions on that, and many changes were made to starting classes since the last time players could access the game.
In general it is accepted that leader start is definitely not good if alone and that street rat is not for new players.

the deer is the only real option anyone saying anything diffrent doesnt understand the game int is needed for almost every spell and bleed dmg wisdom is only for healing dex is for fast weapons but there dmg is bad so not worth strength skill all suck no one good skill compared to spells basically to start you go deer go a caster then you can cruise through everything no issue go strength or dex and you will die all the time because spells are litterally needed to fight some mobs.
