Attack when you carry something

Hello,
I had the unpleasant surprise of a respawn on my position while I was cutting wood, of course vice spiders that they are reappeared while I had a trunk in my arms.

It's not really a "bug", but I think in order for the gameplay to be "fair" we should drop everything we're carrying as soon as we're attacked.
I didn't have the presence of mind to take a screen, all the more so as the log didn't want to put it on the ground because each blow of the little spider seemed to cancel the movement.

With a lot of luck, I managed to survive (actually the poison incapacitated me before the creatures did.)
I don't know what you think, but this situation is worth thinking about.
