Building above ground

I built the largest hose, but the south door entrance looks to be above the ground. So itt wont let me exit. I use the west door to enter and leave. I hope this helps resolve possible issues.

Yes, some of the housing seems to need tweeking. For example, I am not able to place anything next to a wall it has to be one grid space away, including the fence that is suppose to connect to the house. So basically I have walking space around the entire inner and outter walls of my home. Though I have seen homes built that have furniture next to the walls.
