PUBLIC FIREPLACES? Why Not?

One thing I've decided to do, personally, is re-set my home's fireplace availability to 'PUBLIC' so anyone who passes by can rest up and cook their dinner. It's zero skin off my nose, and will help visitors from other parts of the map. Feel free to do the same! My little toons will be most grateful for any homey fires they find open to them in their travels

welp, I can open access to my storage and my crafting equipment, but not my bed or my fireplace. Dang. I'd cull this post except I want to ask the devs, "Perche no?"
In real life, anyone wandering in off the street could sleep in my bed or warm themselves at my fireplace. I grok that there's no lock on the door... still, it seems like a strange default.
Different folks' brains mostly work differently than mine, so this is just my 2 cents.
