It's called "experience". Many game developers don't play in games, so they don't know how it will work in-game. Gamers have more experience in-game mechanics, that's why when they see any "flags" they will start a hype.

Example.
Flag: AO has small corridors between locations - that's why you can't play solo, because of gankers.
Solution: Fractured MMO has an open map without any corridors. Gankers will be on the roads (roads have buff) near port cities, but you always can run through a wilderness ...

Btw, I don't understand why developers can't see easy steps to fix some minor problems like gankers or full loot PVP in-game. If some players are a reason for a problem - let's give an opportunity for other players to fix this problem.

Example.
Problem: Gankers.
Solution: Headhunters. Just give guild leaders \ city mayors to set a bounty size for PK and we will have an awesome feature. The more bounty will be in the zone around the city - the fewer gankers will be there and more players will come to it...

P.S. Game without any risks (full loot pvp, gankers) will be just like a swamp.

@ash86r, oh it's very easy. Just check this link and check "Quests" tab. Btw, I'm a noob too, just took part in 2 tests... So if you will have some questions - feel free to ask. I'll help if I'll be able to...
P.S. About the house, if game packs won't contain any gold in it - yes, still need to grind

• Reserve character name - You can create few characters in-game, and players with Legend pack can reserve this name before others. Actually I don't know how exactly it will work, but from my experience - these players will have a few days before the beginning just to create their characters.
• Founder Villa house blueprint - It's not a house spot, it's a skin for your house.
  

Hello, Ash. Progress will be lost, but you will have your experience. It's more important than some "knowledge points" because you will know what to do just from the beginning, right? Where to get a spot for a home, what stats more important to your build, where to get the best skills... So basically, you will have an advantage against new players...
P.S. I didn't saw any confirmation about this topic from any official sources, but still, every part of alpha\beta was ended with wipe...

Moreover, I didn't see developers for a long time who were started free weekends in a new game... It's sad You can't check the product before You bought it. And indie companies don't have refund policy, so now we get Win-Win result. We get a grasp of the game, developers get their test, everybody wins

It's one of the best mechanics. GW2, TESO have pretty decent combat mechanics, but the main problem is - Fractured MMO not using AWSD movement system, so shields can reduce damage and\or have a chance to block damage and will have a few qwerty skills... I will be glad to see AWSD movement system in this game, but it'll change all game mechanics, so it's unreal. =(

And, btw, the core of this game is DnD. Just check some DnD based games like Divinity OS, Pathfinder and You will understand combat mechanic with the shield...

It would be not too good in PvP... But it's still alpha, so...
P.S. You can use some game arts for your video previews. "Fractured" graphics look not too "bright" to get people's attention, so... But the videos are really useful
