I have been gaming all my life...

I began with the Odyssey system in the 1970s.

Then progressed through Atari 2600 and Vectrex.

On the Atari 800 in the 1980s I completed the original Ultima II, III, and IV. I spent most of this decade painting lead figures and rolling D&D dice.

In the 1990s I fell in love with Doom and Diablo... and as I finished my Ph.D. in the history of technology, I was pulled away from the gaming world due to real life.

I wrote books... taught university classes... did stuff.

And now... though still a professor for my day job...I am ready to devote my free time to a virtual world that will easily become more real than my "real world."
