Town Sieges Need More Strategy & Counterplay"
-
Details:
Hey Devs & Community,I wanted to bring up some concerns regarding town sieges and how they currently feel in the game. Right now, there are a few major issues making them feel unbalanced or less strategic:
-
Defenders Have a Huge Advantage
- Siege mechanics heavily favor defenders, making it nearly impossible for smaller groups to make an impact.
- Defenders can respawn close to the battle, while attackers have to travel long distances, reducing their ability to maintain pressure.
-
Lack of Strategic Depth
- Sieges feel more like a brute-force fight rather than a tactical war.
- There are limited siege weapons or mechanics that encourage diverse strategies.
-
Offline Sieging / Lack of Proper Timing Mechanics
- Some towns get sieged when most of the players are offline, making it unfair.
- There should be better scheduling mechanics to ensure fair fights.
Possible Solutions:
- Introduce respawn limitations for defenders to make sieges more balanced.
- Add more siege weapons (battering rams, catapults, etc.) to create tactical options.
- Implement a siege scheduling system, so battles happen at times when both sides have a fair chance to participate.
What do you all think? Have you encountered similar frustrations in sieges?
