Trees not respawning

Is this a bug or by design to take a long time to re-spawn. I have noticed the mines in the area re-spawned several times, but the trees where my plot is have not re-spawned in hours or at all.

@Digital88 Trees are sparse in the area that i accidentally chose a land plot, after 24 hours they started respawning again, but they still take a very long time in this area along with very few trees to begin with.
The location is -903 W 128 N
