I haven't seen much junk yet, and hopefully it stays that way. Most people who want to up their post count just say welcome to a bunch of new people at the introduction forum. I think we should be lucky that it's limited to 1 post per day and not points for every post we make beyond the first 10. Imagine the spam if every post gave points.

RE: The Foundation: 5 quests and 10 reward tiers added
It's certainly an interesting approach to doing things. The rewards are very much what you normally see with Kickstarter. I know we'll have a Kickstarter but does this mean the devs already have a good amount of money to make it to release?

Post a message on the forums (50 points for each day you make at least one post).
Now we will see how active this forum really is. It's pretty dead right now.

RE: "Extra-planetary" travels? Interesting!
I doubt there will be spaceships. Prometheus mentioned earlier in this thread that travel will be magical, not sci-fi. For example, according to the feature spotlight about races, demons can travel to other planets with relative ease but lose strength over time. Reminds me a bit of those stories where demons can travel beyond the demon realm but lose power when they aren't tethered to their home turf.

RE: Hud and Inventory Access.
It will very much depend on whether or not add-ons will be allowed and exist for Fractured. The base UI is almost never cluttered, it's the add-ons that create the clutter.

RE: Engage and Win with The Foundation
I wonder if my mention of cheating the system gave some people ideas.. The leaderboard made a rather big jump after I posted it.

@vengu Even if you do so, you can only win exp up to 10 referals. After those 10 you wonΒ΄t win anymore exp unless you level those accounts to level 10, 20, 30... And I doubt anyone would go through that leveling trouble Of course there always are crazy enough people ahah
There's no need for that with the daily points.

RE: Engage and Win with The Foundation
Wouldn't this just encourage people to create multiple accounts to send referrals to themselves to get more exp?

RE: Questing system
From what I've seen, the knowledge system is more like an achievement system than an experience-based system. We'll see.

RE: Feature Spotlight #1: Three Races, Three Gameplays
@prometheus I hope Arboreus doesn't become the main target of the gankers then because Arboreus will most certainly be known as the carebear planet. Hopefully I can build a house somewhere without having to worry about it being raided.

RE: Questing system
Well... Has it even been confirmed Fractured has a quest system in the first place? I don't know if quests are even necessary in a game that doesn't have leveling.
-
RE: PvP Zoning, thoughts?
For me it will somewhat depend on the strengths and weaknesses of each race but I'll most likely end up on Arboreus or maybe Syndesia. I'd like to live peacefully and the tiger subrace looks interesting to me.

RE: subscription
I wouldn't mind if this game has a cosmetic cash shop. I don't think this game can survive on B2P alone unless the devs are planning to sell 1-2 expansions a year.

RE: When did this project started ? and why Unity ?
From what I have heard, Unity is pretty bad for MMO's. Fractured is working with SpatialOS for the MMO side of things though, so it will be interesting to see if that fixes the weakness of Unity.

RE: Instanced Dungeons/Raids
I agree that open world dungeons can become quite a mess if they aren't designed for it. It will very much depend on how the devs will handle them though. For example, if everyone can tag along on a boss and get loot, complete with scaling as more and more players swarm the boss, it should be alright. On the other hand, if it's a system where people need to fight over who gets the loot and the boss has a 30 min respawn then yeah, it's going to be a total mess.

RE: Feature Spotlight #1: Three Races, Three Gameplays
It's pretty interesting to go with a system where rulesets differ based on the planet. From what I understand, beastmen cannot attack each other while demons and humans can. However, what would happen if a demon or human were to go the the beastmen's planet? Could they attack beastmen at will?

RE: Will the game be multiplatform?
from the faq:
https://fracturedmmo.com/faq/- On what platforms will Fractured be available?
The game is being developed for computers running Windows, macOS and Linux. While support for all these three operating systems is planned to be available on full release, it is possible that only Windows support will be available during alpha / beta. Clarifications on this issue will be released when the game approaches its first testing phases.

RE: Open World PVP?
@prometheus said in Open World PVP?:
@hnic the FAQ quoted by @Mata are correct, the latest Feature Spotlight contains additional info:
https://fracturedmmo.com/feature-spotlight-1-three-races-three-gameplays/
If you're very interested in open world PvP / full loot, you should definitely play as a Demon! Alternatively, you can play as a human and go criminal - on Syndesia it will definitely be easier to target players who are less skill in PvP, but you'll have to deal with the law.
I don't know if the law is going to be enough to keep Syndesia from becoming a gankbox. Plenty of sandbox games out there with justice and flagging systems that still turned into gankboxes. I guess it will very much depend on how punishing the law will be, but it needs to be very punishing to work.

RE: Level Caps and Planetary Purchases.
they released this post on races a few days ago: https://fracturedmmo.com/feature-spotlight-1-three-races-three-gameplays/
Wolfmen are in, but it doesn't mention elves.
-
RE: Are you a PVP or PVE player?
I like both, but I don't like gankboxes. That's why I am interested in this game. So many sandbox devs out there who believe full loot, free for all pvp is an integral part of every sandbox.
