RE: Road Texture for mini map and world not matching
Thanks for reporting, city road tiles should be there but cities are not implemented yet - so their road tiles are missing too. Will be correct in Alpha 2 - Test 3
(on a side note, could you tell me the exact coords of that @Silynx? That's definitely not 513,1555 eheh)

Hi Dj, did you get ko-d with depleted Life (red bar) or died of starvation? If so, did you get the popup that said you died and could choose between your home and the last city to respawn?

Hi Peach, so you could open the chat but not type in it? Or could you type and press enter, then the message would disappear from the input box but now show up in the global chat? (if it's the global chat we're talking about)

I also really love the idea of cities on the coast!A large city plot is about 4 times larger than a small plot and requires at least 15 players to be claimed Maintenance cost is also higher, yes - the base fee is higher, and you can build a 4x larger city which is 4x as expensive

Not in the open playtest (city aren't implemented yet). Might make it in A2-T3, not sure though!

Hi Clinion! We're 8 people, and we definitely have plans to hire more (another programmer and a senior animator are top priorities). Hopefully we'll be able to do that soon!

To add to what @Specter said above, before the summer of 2018 (= Kickstarter) we only had 1 programmer and there was a lot of prototyping going on (= throwaway code). Things have become must faster after that

We'll try to implement male/female options wherever it makes sense for both Beastmen and Demons, such as the Blood Demon (Vampire) or the Erwydra (Hart-Kin). For other sub-races however, such as the Hellfire Demon (Infernal) or the Nheedra (Bear-Kin), it wouldn't really make sense, so their gender will be undefined

We're still planning to release a Mac client during Beta, but the timeline has shifted a bit. We're still in Alpha 2, may hit Beta by the end of the year. That puts the Mac client in 2021 hopefully!

We've renamed the currency a couple days ago, probably at the same time you wrote this thread! It's called Dynamight Tokens now

RE: Server regions?
Hi @MiniHammer, currently we only have one world, hosted in US East. Later on, we might add an EU server if population becomes too large, otherwise we'll stick to a single server for US+EU.
Other markets are a different story. Latency from Asia/Oceania to EU/US is too high, so once we hit Asian markets (likely at full launch, as you mentioned) we'll surely have a world hosted in China. See this blog post for more info

@Helix @humerus @JBuben we expect that at most 10k people will "live" (= have their home) on each continent. Something between 5k and 10k is more reasonable. Given there are 9 continents, that'd make it between 45k - 90k MAU (Monthy Active Users) per "server" (universe / world, call it as you like - behind the scenes, each universe is not a single server but a cloud of servers).
Translating MAU to CCU (Concurrent Users) is not easy. Technically there can be 2k users connected in the same continent at the same time, but PvE hotspots would become very busy in such a scenario. 1k CCU per continent at peak times is more realistic

There's an ELO-based reputation system (with global ranking). We are considering granting some bonuses to militia members in the future, but that's a big IF. These decisions will also be based on how much support the system gets during these tests
